Guest guest
Deborah Collyar asked me to share this opportunity with you. Kathy Tell NCI what you think about providing tissue for research Dear NCI Listens and Learns Participants, During the month of June, NCI would like to know what patients think about the formation of tissue banks for cancer research. Biorepositories are collections of tissue (for example tumor cells), biological fluids (for example blood), and associated data used by biomedical researchers in a variety of settings (such as a cancer center or a doctor's office). Since consumer trust will be a key aspect of all biorepository networks, we encourage you to provide feedback on this topic throughout the month of June by posting a comment on the NCI Listens and Learns Web site at http://ncilistens.cancer.gov. The summary of comments made in response to April's topic, "Prioritizing the PCP Survivorship Recommendations" is also available for comment. If you did not meet the deadline on this topic at the end of April, now is your chance to provide feedback. Please log on and post your comment at http://ncilistens.cancer.gov/moderator.asp?action=discussion & discussion=50. In addition to commenting on June's topic and April's summary, we also encourage you to review NCI's response to the first discussion topic "Tailoring Patient Searches to Find Clinical Trials" at http://ncilistens.cancer.gov/moderator.asp?action=discussion & discussion=46. The posting of this response represents the first full cycle of a discussion on the NCI Listens and Learns site. We will be sure to notify you as new responses are posted. We are enthusiastic about hearing from all groups on all of these important topics. If you do not remember your username or password please email NCI Listens and Learns at ncilistens@... to receive technical assistance. Thank you for your time, and we look forward to hearing from you soon. NCI Listens and Learns Staff
