Guest guest
Hello everyone, The economic stimulus bill that is currently being debated in Congress contains some dangerous new health care regulations. Let's contact our elected officials and the news media and get these regulations removed from the stimulus bill. Everyone is worried about the economy; therefore, these provisions aren't even being LOOKED at; there is no debate or disclosure to the public, as there should be. I don't even know how many elected officials know what's in the stimulus bill, regarding health care. So, let's contact our elected officials, IMMEDIATELY, and ask that these dangerous and restrictive health care provisions be removed from the economic stimulus bill! Here's the page to find the contact info for your U.S. Senators (by state): http://tinyurl.com/4ru1 Here's the page to find the contact info for your U.S. Representatives (by state): http://tinyurl.com/8frgv The bill contains language allowing our government to MANDATE what doctors can treat and what they can NOT!!! It's entirely possible that the government will decide that children with autism " can't be helped, " or that their diagnosis is " hopeless " and that the " cost of trying to help the disabled child outweighs the potential benefits, " etc. This is DANGEROUS territory! There is also language regarding Medicare (and I supposed also, private insurance) covering procedures for older Americans. Medicare may no longer cover a lot of procedures or medications that are currently covered, because it won't be deemed cost effective!!! So, if you're a loving and dedicated grandparent who is helping take care of your disabled grandchildren (or just want to be healthy and happy in your golden years), you might not be able to get the medical care that you need; after all, you're only going to live for so much longer, anyway . . ... ! This legislation is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hiding important health care legislation in an economic stimulus bill is irresponsible and deceitful, at best. 'Let's all work together and get this covered by the news media; spread the word! Our community is really POWERFUL, when we all work TOGETHER!!!!!!!
