Guest guest
Yeah, I think it's Eat Right for Your Blood Type. But there are several of them by the same author. I don't have the whole book, because a friend just xeroxed the relevant pages for me. > > Reply-To: csb-autism-rx > Date: Sat, 31 Dec 2005 21:44:52 -0000 > To: csb-autism-rx > Subject: Re: OT: Yeast Elimination Diet > > Is it Eat Right for Your type? Guest guest
Marla, I am not a doctor, but I doubt that only in 6 days you will be able to do a significant change in the terain of your gut (especially if you have yeast issues) and this means yhe yeast will be back as soon as you reintroduce the " other " foods (including apples, carots,...). According to Cousens, M.D. (see the " Rainbowgreen live-food cuisine " book) you might need up to 3 months to change the terain of your gut. While the above book focuses mostly on live/raw foods, it might give you more ideas and choices than the Bieler soup. Marin P.S. Also, I would take the " Eat right 4 you type " diet with a grain of salt. Just as a counterexample, Dr. Cousens has type O (which is supposed to eat animal protein according to " Eat right 4 you type " ). but has been a strict vegan for the last 30 years. And at 63 he is in a better shape than many people a few decades younger: http://www.e3live.com/Videofiles/gabriel_10MB.wmv > > Dr. McC and list mates, > > My husband and I are doing this diet to " cleans " ourselves starting > Jan 2nd. Guest guest
I agree that it takes a long time to change the ecology of the gut. It's a slow process. I have long understood that no one diet is right for every person. I think that is especially true for autistic kids (and me), who have far more gut damage than most people. But I happen to fit this blood type diet very well, so it's working for me. I would never take a doctor's or anyone else's word for it. Sometimes something rings so true I do try something new, though I literally only believe my own gut.
