Guest guest
Hi everyone. First off welcome all new members to the family. I am sorry I haven't been on most of this year. Still helping mom recop from her hospitalization last year with Guillane Barre. She is doing much better. I have been doing okay for the most part. I have been in a flare the last 2months off and on but mostly on. The weather isn't helping much. I am back on the Humira and are switching back to every 10days instead of the 14days. I think I am starting to reject it, so now we are in the process of figuring out what we do next. They still do my IgD lvls and they are still pretty high. My Dr in Denver has been in contact with a Dr in Bethesda, MD. They are doing research in the hyper IgD and periodic fevers. I guess I am a good candidate for this research, so with my approval, my Dr sent my records to them. I am now waiting on a call to set up an appointment and go out there to see what they are doing and if they can help me out more. This is also part of the waiting to see what meds we try next. I have scanned through some of the posts, and I wanted to let Theresa know that I to was on Kinneret and had the same reaction. From what I have learned is it is pretty common after a couple weeks or months for all injection sites to do this. I had went off it, but sometimes wished I hadn't, That was pretty much the only med I have been on that worked for me. I am still on the MTX but with Humira now. I am interested in learning about all the newer medications out there. They are saying they think my only other option that they know of at this point is to go from Humira to one of the IV drugs. If that is the case, we are going to try to figure out where I can do it down here in the Springs instead of having to drive to Denver just for that. I have rambled on enough for now, am off to bed. I am going to try to get into my GP tomorrow as I have had a headache for the last couple of days. Love you all and I will make it a point to check in more than I have lately. Again welcome all the new members, you have found a wonderful family here!! (((((((gentle hugs to all))))))) Kelley in Colorado
