Guest guest
Hi Andy, How are you? This stuff about sulfur, exactly what do you mean? Is it in foods, what is it? If a child has a sensitivity to this, what symptoms are displayed. And Glutathione, what role do these things play? Thanks so much. Sometimes it is in the form of a thiol, and sometimes in another form that can be converted to a thiol. Sulfate and sulfite are the only forms that seems not to convert to a thiol. People with too many thiols running around stir up their heavy metal burdens and are in essence more poisoned than they have to be given the amount of metal present. High thiols also activate the allergic part of the immune system. Glutathione is one of the body's major thiol containing molecules. > > Sal's mom > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been
Guest guest
Andy, Are you implying that Glutathione is equally bad at stirring up the metals and promoting allergic responses because it incorporates a thiol? The most useful test is plasma cysteine through Great Smokies Labs. Note there is a separate compound called cystine, which is NOT what you want tested. Guest guest
To havesulfur tested beyond hair is it necessary to test serum, plasma and erythrocytes? Which would be most true measure? Also what's a FREE copper test? (all thru Specialty labs) Also since I'm asking about tests, if on was to check neutrophilswith the idea depressed levels may indicate immune defieiency...which test if any of these(of Speciality Labs) would be indicated...1 Neutrophil Function: Adherence 2 Neutrophil Function: Myeloperoxidase 3Nutrophil Phagocytoses /?? I'd have thought an enumeration might suffice?!??! Help- [ ] Re: ANDY, CAN YOU EXPLAIN SOMETHING..... > Hi Andy, > > How are you? This stuff about sulfur, exactly what do you mean? Guest guest
Thanks for the post-The Amino Acids profile from Great Smokies that we had done shows cyst(e)ine at 4.7 with reference 3.6-6.5...in the green area?!?! I guess that this would allow us the info. w/o additional test-right? -added note -Asparagine/Aspartate read = 46 w/ ref. being >5. Asparagine (solo)=6.1 w/ ref 3.1-6.0 7 Aspartic Acid (solo)= .13 w/ ref. .10-0.50 It's difficult when the Comments give all possibilities related to ratios and individual measurements...Mid Aug. I guess our DAN Dr. appt should help make it clearer!?!?
