Guest guest
Check to see if your browser has a " junk " filter button. I'm currently using Netscape and it has been very helpful. I just press the " junk " button and the spam email goes directly into the folder. By pressing the " junk " button it also prevents the particular person (who sent the junk email to me) to be prevented from sending me anymore email. > > > Has anyone else noticed that since eGroups became Yahoo!Groups the amount of > > SPAM you receive has quadrupled? > > > > Suddenly I am getting 6-10 SPAM messages per day when I have had no trouble > > with SPAM before. Its called bulk mail. carol
Guest guest
That is exactly why I am moving all the groups I host over to a different server. -----Original Message-----From: Meenie Sent: Wednesday, February 14, 2001 4:21 PMTo: diabetes Subject: Re: OT: SPAM Yes yes yes, I've noticed it. Lots of spam and some of the naughty variety. I've also discovered if you try to send an email to the person who sent it, or try to click on the "remove me from this list" in the email, your email is just returned as undelivarable. It used to really bug me... but I decided to heck with it. I have made folders for all my email - I have a folder labeled "Diabetes" then sub folders for each group I'm on for diabetes. I have one for Diabetes@yahoogroups, one for DMTypeII@yahoogroups, one for LC diabetes. Then I have a writing folder with all my writing and critique groups in sub folders, etc... I have a personal folder so that friends and family emails go in there. Then the rest go to my regular in box. It's easy to just hit delete down that line. The only thing I have to watch for is someone from a group who emails me privately and those stand out so aren't a problem. Meenie Has anyone else noticed that since eGroups became Yahoo!Groups the amount ofSPAM you receive has quadrupled?Suddenly I am getting 6-10 SPAM messages per day when I have had no troublewith SPAM before. This is just aguess, but I can't think of any other reason that I would suddenly startreceiving so much more SPAM.(Crossposted, so if you get this twice, please pardon the repeat)

Guest guest
We have just returned to this 'diabetes' list. Not only have we had a problem with spam suddenly, but we keep having problems with not getting our email from any of our groups ever since it became yahoo. We have not been able to figure out how we contact yahoo when we stop getting our emails so I just signed off of the groups and yesterday resigned on again hoping we would get our email. Guest guest
I went to this page and down at the bottom they have a list (you click on it to get the lists) of known spammers and of known domain names that are spam domains. I added these to my blocked senders list. Lets see if that helps Meenie CLICK ON THE URL BELOW TO GET ANSWERS TO YOUR SPAMMING CHALLENGEShttp://www.arachnoid.com/lutusp/antispam.html
