Guest guest
I have just recently had a bit of insomnia due to a migraine medicine gone wrong- I hope I'll be back to normal soon but it reminded me of just how bad insomnia can be. I have, in the past, tried mindfulness but find I get easily hot and bothered and thoughts carry me away. However, perhaps I am approaching it with the wrong attitude. I quote Russ : I let go of all expectations to sleep; I don¡¯t even try. Instead I take a win-win attitude: on the one hand, even if I spend all night long, fully awake, practicing mindfulness, I know I¡¯ll get 70% of the benefits of sleep Many people seem to agree with this but I have also heard that mindfulness burns up energy. So is there any data on this? Cheers Jim
