Guest guest
Definitely -- I still have pain, stiffness and always feel sick and exhausted even after the nodules are gone. It's debilitating and I have a hard time bouncing back after a day of being on my feet all day. I've been referred to a rheumatologist and a podiatrist for all the pain I'm experiencing on my joints, tendons and feet. Guest guest
Yes you can feel sick kind of like the flu. Take over the counter pain meds. Some people use cold presses I have to use warm. Cool air makes me ache something horrible. Everyone is just a little different. Bed rest will help. I hope he feels better soon. can you still feeling sick like having the low grade fever, ankle swollen and the stiffiness if after the nodules are gone please help my husband is so sick and we are hardly having any sleep thanks everybody
Guest guest
I had erythema nodosum for the first time. It started 3 weeks ago, and it cleared up in two weeks. I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed me Predisone (steroid) that took the pressure, swelling away, and the nodules went down. I also took a natural supplement called cleavers tinture. It's a plant extract oil with 8 oz of water three times a day. I also stayed off of my feet for a week and half straight which made a big difference. It was a very scary experience, but if he takes care of himself during this time it will go away soon. Guest guest
I feel pretty much the same. I have been trying to get some walking in, about 1 1/2- 2 miles a few times a week. Some days are better. My trouble spot is my right ankle/foot area. Drs. are not much help. If I don't have the lumps, its not EN. Wish I could find the Dr. who first told me it was EN. Sounds like a project for me, When I get tired, I lay down. Yesterday it was a bit later in the day, messed up my sleep last night, only about 2 hours. I have had a busy week, 2 walks, a trip to the county fair, and a concert in the park. I love being off work during the summer. I hate not being paid, but sometimes the benefits are nice. I have worked almost every summer, holiday for the past 28 years, so even tho I have no income at all right now thanks to congress, and the economy... I am making the best of it. I have to. It was bad enough being on EDD/UI, but now not even getting that, it is another big drop in income. Hard to find a job in and around where I live. Maybe that is why I am so tired, more stress. So that is why I have to, I must make the best of what comes my way. And to be able to enjoy the small pleasures of the season, so be it. Guest guest
cleavers tincture sounds like an essential in any EN kit, along with Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vineger with the Mother in it and a great adrenal support kit like at www.adrenalfatigue.orgI too have been EN free over a year and have great energy from taking care of my adrenals and using Bragg's.I will now add this Cleavers to my kit so if I ever have a bout I can deal with it asap.I was reading about cleavers and it basically, does for the lymph what adrenal support supplements do for the adrenals and these two really help bring maximum healing to the lymph and adrenals; both deal with skin eruptions, immune system, inflammation, restful sleep and energy. Thanks for the recommend.ml ML GemmillWriter - Creative Ideatorlittlesumo@... leavers tinture
Guest guest
Hi , Good to hear its cleared up so fast. I got EN (first time) at the beginning of April and it is slowly winding down I think. The patches are far, far less painful and the new ones are smaller. The fatigue lasted most of May but is now gone. Ankles still swelling up if I am sitting for long periods but not as crippling as before. I dont like supplements but have found sparing use of Ibuprofen very helpful. And of course cold compresses - I carry around a cotton bag filled with those hideous plastic balls people freeze to use instead of ice in their drinks. I stick them in the fridge where ever I am and have a nondrippy cold compress thats easy to use. Guest guest
Hi. When I was first diagnosed with EN, I didn't have all the typical symptoms. I only had a large knot under my skin. The biopsy showed EN. I took the prednisone and it cleared up. I didn't have any symptoms again for several years later. Now it is chronic. I have good days and bad days. I am glad yours cleared up quickly and I hope yours doesn't ever come back. The chronic form is terrible!!
