Guest guest
Earlier today I had an inclination (quite clear and strong) to help an elderly person and instead of doing so, engaged my present company (NOT similarly inclined)in debate about the pros and cons of helping this person! I'm sitting here feeling absolutely like a horrible person and yet quite interested in all of this: the original inclination, and then the way in which i allowed my mind get roped into debate fueled by a life-time of powerful stuff that insists 'must please my company' came straight up against my own inclination. And in a flash, a misguided choice was made. Sadness now..all of this..instead of just doing my inclination. And too the realization there is just no pleasing everyone, i cannot control for this! And so maybe if someone can learn from my mistake, the choice will not have been completely for naught. And thank you Bill for reminding our opinion is really the only one that matters. and thanks to all my teachers here. with gratitude, theresa

Guest guest
Oh yes, thanks. Funny, this is one of the thoughts i also had as to how to " redeem " myself so to speak..yes, very nice idea. And truly any version of this seems a good direction, today or any day. And not just like i MUST right this wrong right now or else i'll be in BIG trouble. Because i can start 'Shoulding on myself' very easily -- hold this mistake as something bad, really, really bad. So, remaining open to keep look-see what's coming up for me around this. And seems important for me to keep asking myself what i'm willing to do and what i am not, trusting my inclinations, taking chances, letting go, defusing from desire to control for outcomes i have no control over (e.g., need my company to feel comfortable about whatever) and opening up to many ways i might be living this very precious thing i have noticed. And to get busy with doing so in whatever way that presents itself! regards, theresa > > > Thanks. Go help two elderly people tomorrow.
