Hiya ,

I crochet scarves, and donate them to shelters of needy families. reading

is always good. I also bought myself a sketch pad and watercolor pencils,

some pastels, etc... I am no artist, but it is very soothing and gives me

something to do. I have also bought card stock and arranged pressed flowers

to send to friends. Blank Journals are nice to do this with too. I have a

piece of wood that I use to work on while I am propped in bed or on the

couch. I like word games, so I have some on my laptop as well as

traditional, paper and pencil stuff.

I live in a temperate rain forest, so there is LOTS of rain during the

season. It doesn't usually get too cold, but with the humidity it goes to

the bone. You are so right about having *something* to do to keep our minds

off of the pain. It really does help!

Hi rainy day sufferers! For the last 6 years I have been " couch-bound "

on rainy days, and winter mon ths, so I took up needlepoint. This

winter my hand-eye coordination is sooo bad I can't do the

needlepoint. What do all of you do to occupy the time? All I do is

obsess about the pain if I watch TV with out a project in hand. Any

input would be appreciated.

Hi ,

I live in North Florida....it is often quite humid regardless of whether

its raining or not. High humidity, as well as cold weather, makes my

body ache more. I use a dehumifier when the humidity gets up to 80

percent in the house. It makes me feel better. In addition, the

dehumidifier warms the air as it removes moisture. I bought the unit

for about $130.00 at Sam's Club. Maybe you could borrow one from a

friend to determine if it helps you......Happy New Year.....
