Guest guest
OK, this is what happened to us. I tried regular doses, then low doses, and my son still got VERY hyper and stimmy. We HAD to stop, he was really driving us nuts. The reaction was almost as bad as the one he had to NDF. My doctor in Richmond is worried about it pulling minerals and a big distributor of the product has promised me the results of tests on autistic children under the care of a particular doctor out her way to confirm or disprove the demineralization. I'm still waiting for information from the company and nothing except anecdotal has been available. They said they would send some scientific data pertaining to its use. I used it, and became very tired and grumpy. I was taking lots of minerals. Maybe it's just too strong for someone like me, too. So it's on the shelf for now. We are trying the HMD liquid for heavy metals removal and after 2 days no reaction yet. He's actually been more mellow than ever on it. Knock on wood. It has a research study behind it. The doctor who is testing it has answered all my questions with data. Our doctor has reams of testing from clients using it because they find other oral chelators to be really harsh or they are reacting to them. OUr son reacts badly to everything, so we are always hoping to find something he can withstand long enough to really get some metals out. We have our fingers crossed, have to keep trying since he's reacted to everything out there so far that is giving anyone results. My sister and nephew are trying the zeolite. He is practically NT and very big and strong, so maybe he can take it with success. They spent several weeks frontloading with minerals, just to be sure, since I hadn't seen any real data about demineralization. The people in the organization are very nice and helpful, but I didn't talk to anyone who had any testing done or was approaching the use of the product with any way to quantify results. Now, some people have had great things to say about the zeolite drops, even when they do nothing else, no diet, no tests, etc. Maybe it's good for that kind of approach, with children that are not real autoimmune reactive? And if you're doing very little or no biomedical, this is affordable and may strike at the root of the problem. It's not too expensive if you buy it at www.magneticclay.com ($50) and don't join. You may have to call because I couldn't find it on their site. Joining was a mistake for us, but it is a good thing for someone who can use it because there's a discount. Guest guest
and Dr. JM, Many thanks for your responses about the zeolite. It sounded too good to be true and is why I posted here first when I found nothing on the product when I searched old messages. I was hoping this could be the magic bullte to get my little one over the yeast. She's been taking nystatin/ biocidin for almost a year now. In December, I started rotating uva ursi and oil of oregano with the biocidin. She is sensitive to coconut, so I have not tried the Lauricidin. I give her high strength probiotics (Therbiotic Complete, Detoxification Support, or Pro-Biogold Defense). Couple weeks ago I started giving her Threelac as well; her bowel movements are actually starting to be somewhat brown (usually green or light yellow). Maybe it is helping??? We just can't seem to get rid of the yeast. Any ideas on the yeast front are appreciated. She is on a very strict GF/CF/SF diet, only sugar is from limited quantities of rice milk, and minimal fruit (very small piece for a " treat " since she can't have anything else). She also does the MB-12, LDN, usual list of supplements. She has come so far in a very short time for which I feel very grateful. Dr. JM - Your book is awesome...as has been said many times by other parents...my daughter would not be where she is today if it were not for you. THANKS!!!
