Guest guest
Hi, I'm Kay. This is the 1st time I've posted here. It's Mon, AM, been up for a while, could not lay there hurting anymore. I don't want to sound like I am whining. I know I do, when I talk to friends/family that don't understand. Is this a problem for anyone else? Guest guest
Hi Kay, Welcome to the group. I too live with chronic pain and don't sleep very well, in common with others you'll meet here. I didn't think you sounded like you were whining, just frustrated at the situation you find yourself in. What is your painful problem? I have a connective tissue disorder (ehlers-danlos syndrome) and spondylisthesis. Regards, Siel > Hi, I'm Kay. This is the 1st time I've posted here. Guest guest
Welcome Kay! I hope you find the comfort you need here. <g> I, too, have horrible insomnia related to my chronic daily migraine and occipital neuralgia. But this group is great for when you just can't lay there hurting anymore...you can just log on and vent, and know that those who read your post will understand where you're coming from. What sort of chronic pain do you have? There's always lots of helpful information here... Do you feel you sound like you're whining when you talk to your friends and family....or do they accuse you of whining? I know that when I do talk about my pain to those who don't share it (which is rare, I have to say), I often feel like I'm whining...yet they think that if anything, I'm not whining enough. Hope to hear more from you....for now, it's time for me to get off the computer and go lay down with some meds and an ice pack... Best wishes for better days ahead... Guest guest
Hi Kay, and Welcome! I try not to complain to my husband or kids. My husband feels bad enough for me, so I figure he doesn't need to hear it. And I know how I feel when my mother goes on about the teeniest thing, so I rarely say anything to my kids other than whenI'm having a good day. I have one friend I can talk with, because she has a lot of problems too. Other than that, I write the group. You'll find that in a very short time, people will start feeling like family, and you'll get lots of understanding. So whine away!!! With soft, gentle welcoming hugs, Dix My First Post Hi, I'm Kay.
