Guest guest
All my saliva tests except cortisol were off, so blood except for circadian rhythm is what you want. Quest lab is fine, but they are the one that doesn't do a real free t3. Re: Re: Upcoming Surgery> > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi all, This is to let everyone know I will be having my 5th and last detethering on Sept. 8. Both my NSG and I are uncomfortable about doing this surgery but we can't figure out why my symptoms are so unstable ( Some days I can walk, other days I am stuck in a wheelchair) and on all days I am stuck using a boatload of pain medication. The last surgery I ended up worse than when I started and I have been falling so much we had to cover all of my floors with ugly ruberized black runners to keep me from breaking any more bones. From one fall, I have even managed to flip my bladder stimulator so that the leads are completely pulled out on one side and stretched to the max on the other. LOL, I have asked several doctors about this and was told it was 'normal' for it to be sticking out. According to Medtronics, NO, it is not. <sigh>. It took me several urologists to find one who would listen to me when I told them the stim was irritating my bowels and not helping my bladder at all. It took several x-rays to see what was going on there. The rehab hospital I was at wanted to give me antidepressents since they thought it was all in my head. (great). Yes, I am terrified about having this done and I do not have any unreasonable expectations that I will be able to jump up run to the bathroom and never use a catheter again. But, I do hope I will get some stability and best case would be that my left leg would be back to what it was (undamaged, before last Sept's operation). I will try to get my husband to post some kind of carepages if it is possible. Wish me luck! M.
