old vs new

greetings all,

I have to agree with marty that sometimes the old stuff is still a good

option. i have not been on any of the new meds for the still's yet.  what i am

relaying has to due with my experience with another cronic health issue

(epilepsy).  some of the meds i have taken over the years were 'new and better

with less side effects'. some have been some of the oldest on the market. as

the years have gone by the list of side effects for what used to be 'new' has

grown.  i've come to the firm belief that new meds don't really have few side

effects, they just haven't been around long enough for the medical community to

find out what all the side effects are.  And you are so right about some of the

'old wives tales' too.  you do have to be careful with them and definately talk

to your dr. because not all of them are safe and some can interfr with meds, but

some of them really do work.  look at ginger ale.  ginger root tea has been

used to theat nausea for

literally hundreds of years. that is why ginger ale works better than 7up, the

ginger.  any how, hope everyone is haveing the best day they can.

blessings,

elizabeth

Some times the best meds are also the old ones. Even some of the old wives

tails we all heard every now and then come back and or have been proven to be of

help or that they worked..........
