Guest guest Posted March 26, 2010 Report Share Posted March 26, 2010 Hi , yes I had the bumps,but they truely were my Stills rash!In the beginning I started with one symptom at a time! Mt hubby and I were on a short 4 day week-end and I had forgotten my swimsuit.We decidrd to go to Wal-Mart and get one.I tried on many,and one of them was made of that parachute fabric.I went to the restroom before we left the store and when I pulled down my clothes, my thighs were covered with spots!I didn't get rashes ever,so I blamed it on the swimsuit fabric! It was everywhere by the next day and I was embarrassed to be seen,so I hid out in the cabin and tried every topical cream that even mentioned a rash! When we got home and I went to my doc,she said she had no idea what it could be,but she suspected Lupus!She took a biopsy in two places,my thigh and my forarm.I was excited to find out what it could be.Well a week later she called and said the test showed my rash was systemic! duh!! I was so relieved!Well we went from there to swelling in my joints,bad blood work results etc. etc. I'm sure you don't need or want to hear my history.They all just kind of sound the same. I hope this helps and you get the meds you need. Oh, I forgot to tell you it took them 4 years to diagnose me correctly! Guest guest Posted March 26, 2010 Report Share Posted March 26, 2010 Thanks Elly. I was diagnosed after 3 years of fits and it felt like a hundred doctors refusing to admit a lack of knowledge. Anyway... ) I've just come from the rheumy and he's upped the prednisone to 20mg, and we're going through the hoop jumping to get Remicade approved. I'm so, so, so excited at the prospect of not being tied to a needle and refrigerator pack if I travel anywhere! I appreciate the information you've shared. I didn't know that things could evolve like this with Still's, so I was beginning to worry that there was yet another shoe dropping re: my health.
