Guest guest
A new client came to me yesterday with this cat. This cat was normal in every observable way until it went into a veterinary clinic for a neuter. It was walking this way when the cat was picked up and the owner was told it was a side-effect of the anesthesia. The veterinary clinic did not report any untoward incident to him, although I realize that they might have chosen not to say anything even if something had happened. I hate doing neuro exams on cats. Maybe everything was normal, maybe it was not. It absolutely had feeling in it's back feet, I could not really do a CP placement, pulling away with eventhe slightest touch of my hand, but he felt the edge of the exam table. Reflexes seemed normal, but again, the cat was continually struggling and wanting to go home. The only problem I found on exam was a 1/4 drawer in the left knee, which makes me suspicious of some traumatic incident. Radiographs were normal but if I really squinted and used my imagination there might have been some sclerosing on the cranial endplate of S1. If this were a one sided issue I would be convinced it were a sciatic problem secondary to an IM injection. Help! Look at the video and throw out some ideas.
