It can point you to specific possible infections, which you can then test for to confirm. You can actually buy a hand cradle, hook it up to your own computer, and then do it over the Internet. And/or once you learn about your child from the practioner's Interpretation, you can contact Tami on this list to see about doing some zytos when you are inbetween practioner visits if you like. There is a consent form in the file section for download. To make an appointment for Zyto scan, just follow the instruction in the consent form to provide credit card information and sign the consent form to fax to her. Appointments are usually scheduled for weekends. Or you can sign up here to have a zyto done and then take it to your doctor so he can use it as a guide to know what to test for to confirm zyto stress markers. Do a search of the messsages for zyto, and you can read all the recent postings we have had about it. I don't know much about it yet. I had a couple done at www.startlivingwelltoday.com and was very impressed with what they said. We are all learning about zytos, and welcome communication about them no matter where they are done. Guest guest Posted May 22, 2009 Report Share Posted May 22, 2009 We recently noticed my son's neutrophils ( a type of WBC) have been going down steadily for the last 5 years. In March the were at 972 (normal 1500-3500). Last summer they were at 1200. His WBC is at the low end of normal. Lymphs are slightly high and RBC are normal. Hemogloblin is slightly high. Waiting on latest test results. I am really scared. I had made a spreadsheet of his bloodwork and noticed this steady decline over the last 5 years. I pointed it out to the ped neuro last week. He stared at it and then said " that is worrisome " . Ehrlichia mostly infects monocytes and neutrophils in white blood cells and in less extent eosinoghils. Children have higher counts of lymphs than neutrophils, teen years reach about 50/50 balance between the two. I would be more interested in the pathology of the lymphs - do they have an atypical or immature morphology under microscopic examination. If so, there is a viral component among other possibilities. You need to run immune studies and boost the immune system, etc. Also have your Dr run a FERRITIN, these are advanced iron studies, TIBC and regular serum iron reflect dietary iron, but the ferritin actually shows how the iron is being metabolized. The lab ranges are quite wide for ferritin, Optimal range should not be more than 150.
