Talking to him is not like talking to a Dr. its like talking to a friend. I have heard ONLY good stuff about Dr. Levin and my choice is pulling more toward him, but the price has got me leaning toward Dr. Curlin to get it done faster so we can have OUR baby in our arms ASAP. Nick comes home tonight, early in the morning hours so I'm gonna discuss this with him and see what he says, he asked if Dr. Curlin will give me something to keep my at ease cause I am very scared of this surgery and its not even near the time to have it, :-) I'm the biggest chicken and I think Nick knows this. lol Thanks for your help! Now I am changing fertility doctors and getting ready to schedule my TR with Dr. Levin. I did consider Dr. Curlin as his price is cheaper BUT, Dr. Levin has done over 2000 TR and Dr. Curlin around 350. I have been told that the more you do the better you are. Also, Dr. Curlin is semi retired (older) not that it's that important. I just have a more " comfortable " feeling about Dr. Levin than I do Dr. Curlin and it is always best to follow your instinct. I have always been very impressed with their promptness and personal attention. I have been considering doing the TR for almost 4 years now and think I'm finally ready to do it! My husband and I both have three children (6 all together---Brady bunch!) but really want one of our own. I'm almost 35 and am definitely not getting any younger. I'm really looking forward to being a part of this group. I can't believe how much it has grown since it started not too long ago! Oh, I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Levin (via phone) for January 8th...I'm surprising my husband for his birthday! Its something we both want really bad and I can't wait to present him with the information (before the call as I want him involved every step of the way!) I'm just very anxious to get this going and I'm sure there are a lot of other women out there who feel the same. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone else's stories, concerns, and learning more about what is going to transpire in the next several months. Merry Christmas! We have 4 children/adults, all girls ages 20/18/14/6 and I had my TL May 1995 after the birth of our last daughter. Since then we have completed two IVF cycles (trying for a boy) with no luck, one ectopic and one chemical pregnancy, at a very expensive price! We are now on the tubal reversal path and I too am having my consultation the first of the year with Dr. Levin. I hope to schedule my TR sometime in Feb/Mar 2002. I'm hoping we enough money saved to pay for it by the time he gets home, which is June 27, 2002 (hopefully). Maybe I can have it scheduled by July. I wouldnt have it done til after the summer any, I do have three young ones and we love going jet skiing so I'm hoping to have it done no later than oct. Well thanks for your comments and opinions. I had a TR done by Dr. Levin in July of 2000 and I delivered my baby girl in August of this year. If I remember correctly, Dr. Levin's cost covers much more than Dr. Curlin's does in total.
