Hi Bill,

The term " ms hug " is a feeling around the mid-section that feels like an " Ace "

bandage is wrapped around you.

Regards,

Tom

My Hugs...they last a WHOLE lot longer than 15 minutes..Mine can last several days, and with my muscle relaxer it eventually goes away. I have found that I can tell when mine is coming on, because it starts to effect my bladder as well. Which is very painful in itself. I get that constant need to go to the restroom and then when I get there...Nothing... Thats how hard the muscles tighten up for me anyway...but in my experiences..the hugs last a while until your relaxer kicks in...

BILL, THE BES WAY I CAN DISCRIBE AN MS HUG IS THAT IT IS A LOT LIKE {JUST HARDER AND LONGER THAN} WHAT I CALL A DADDY HUG. WHEN I HAD NOT SEEN HIM FOR A LONG TIME OR WHEN HE JUST KNEW I NEEDED THAT EXTRA AND HE SQUEEZED THAT LITTLE BIT EXTRA AND HELD ON LONGER THAN USUAL.

MS Hug

Somebody this week brought up the subject MS Hugs and I was wondering if someone could give me a good idea what you think that is and what causes it? I think I may have experienced the MS hug but not sure without understanding it better.

Thanks Tom, Lynn and for the response, I am not sure if what I had was the MS hug or not it only happened 2 times. We were having a birthday party for a relative one day and about the time we ate I had a really achy feeling across my chest area, I ended up staying in the restroom unil it ended which took maybe 15 minutes. I could not tell if I had sudden heart burn or just gas that caused it. It did come as a surprise kind of what a heart attack might be like.

I am not sure if a 15 minute attack is considered a MS hug.
