Well, I don't know if I necessarily agree with Snopes. It is a very good

website, and they do tons of research....but so many tell you to drink water. I

am going to stick with 8 glasses a day, even if it means many trips to the

bathroom and buying stock in s tissue. LOL I just thought it would be

interesting to share a different viewpoint and see what everyone thought.

Wow, Lyn! That snopes site info blew the points made in the mermaids

website out the door! I still think it's a good idea to drink a good

amount of water every day, though. I was actually a water drinker

long before WW, so it's not a problem for me anyway. I guess it

always boils down (no pun intended!) to a personal choice, huh?

And the Snopes article doesn't say we don't need water -- just that the

experts don't agree on how much we need, and whether or not we need to get

it from water and can't get it from soda, etc.

Some experts said that you may only need 4 glasses, but get 4 glasses from

normal food intake. But did they say " normal food intake while 'dieting'? "

No. I bet most of us have been cutting down on our food intake lately,

which would mean even if those experts are right that we should be drinking

a little more water.

Btw, I think the minimum WW suggests is 6 not 8. And 3 can come from

non-water non-caffeine sources.

I haven't been updating my records in the database lately as I have been

plateauing...which is better than gaining, but there hasn't been a change in

the numbers.
