OT: recipe for dehydrating kefir grains

Someone wrote earlier about dehydrating kefir grains and I can't find the post. Can you say how you did it? The instructions online all seem too complicated--wash and iron a cloth, tack it to an empty picture frame, spread the washed kefir grains on the cloth, cover with another cloth, etc etc. Yikes. I don't happen to have empty picture frames lying around, and I'm not really looking forward to ironing either. Is there an easier way that anyone has done successfully? Thanks.
