Guest guest
HI Rick, I dont have an answer for your question but I did want to add something. I too have read Rosner's book and have struggled with his theory on abx. I do think it makes tons of sense, but I personally feel torn between being on or off of abx (currently on them). Where I struggle is that a lot of people do get better on them, I do think his theory holds true for some people w/ lyme but what I think is the most important message in his book is that no two patients are the same. There are multiple treatments that need to be used, some use abx and are better for it, some worse, and the same can be said for any other treatment. For now I will be using abx in combination with Rife and other herbal protocols. My approach may change in the future as I learn more about MY lyme infection and how my body is handling it. I do intend to eventually be off herbal and abx and only rife for matienece when i go into " remission " . But I just cannot commit to being off abx right now (I'm only on month 3 of treatment-- so probably similar to you). Many on this site have learned that for their lyme abx is not the right thing, and they have a wealth of knowledge to share too! I just wanted to provide you with another side, and let you know that it is possible to do both at the same time :-) Good luck with your Lyme journey! Whitney This is my first post to the group. I tested mostly positive for Lymes in March 2010 (western blot test), after the standard misdiagnoses for 10 years. I likely contracted it in New England between 1995 and 2000 where I lived and worked outside. Symptoms started showing up in 2002. Now my most detrimental symptoms are; mind fog and memory loss, difficulty multitasking, tinnitus, and joint inflamation (knees & neck). I have yet to lose a day of work, but many days I struggle for productivity. My doctor started me out on amoxicilin, with no Herx reaction. A subsequent Babesia test came back negative. I'm now on my third week of Biaxin and Ceftin and can't tell if the rather constant low energy feeling is from a long winded herx or side effects to the drugs. 15 minutes of weight lifting or mowing the yard, and it's nap time for bonzo. I discovered Rosners site a month ago, and have now half read his Rife book. I have the opportunity to use a Multi-wave Oscillator (AC machine), owned by a researcher, this is a 40 to 50 year old machine which was rebuilt with modern parts a few years ago but has not yet been used for Lyme treatments. My northern California doctor is Lyme literate, has a number of chronic Lymes patients, but has little experience with Rife machines, and possibly for liability reasons, is investing little time on the subject. Rosner's book is now 6 years old, apparently an eon in Lyme history. appeared quite certain that antibiotics drove the spirochetes into a defensive cyst form. He also appeared certain that stopping antibiotics before starting Rife treatments was the right thing to do if using AC machines. Is there anyone who has experience using Multi-wave Oscillators? And how long a gap after stopping antibiotics should I start treatments. Cheers, Rick -- Whitney Schmucker
