Guest guest
There are also lots of websites on the internet for " paleo " eating. One which is very popular is Mark Sisson's website, " Mark's Daily Apple. " From there you can find a lot of others. http://www.marksdailyapple.com Note: A lot of paleo folks recommend that you go whole hog and get ONLY grass-fed, pasture-raised meats, eggs, butter, etc. I'm here to tell you that you can still improve your health a lot by buying supermarket meats, eggs, butter, etc., and lowering your carbohydrates significantly. Guest guest
I've also had candida issues, though they mostly disappeared when I started eating more protein and cut sugar out of my diet. I think this is another piece of a larger puzzle having to do with a healthy digestive system. The site looks like it has great recipes. > > I am doing the following anti-candidal nutritional program. Some of the other group members have had autistic children improve on it. One of the symptoms of Candida overgrowth can be brain fog. I have been doing this program for close to two years. > > Be aware, however, that natural healing is slow. It's not an overnight thing, even if it does help. In any event, it won't hurt to check it out: > > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com > > She also runs a couple of Yahoo groups as well... for the diet and for recipes. > > It is a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet. We eat butter, coconut oil, saturated animal fat, etc. > > Ketogenic (high-fat) diets have also been used for kids and adults with epilepsy. > > Just throwing it out there as one more possibility. > > I still react to gum-chewing and other mouth noises. Maybe it will help over time--who knows? I have some physical problems which I am hoping it will take care of (chief among them diabetes and obesity). > > > Pam Maltzman >
