Guest guest
Listmates, I'm not sure if I've posted here before, but, I am an avid reader. Maybe a short introduction is in order though. My son is 4 1/2 years old and after 2 years intense VB and biological treatments is what many would consider high functioning autistic. He was diagnosed at age 2 (completely non verbal) now speaking in short sentences. we have been gf/cf since diagnosis and after IGg testing we went gf/cg/sf/ef banana free also sugar is extremely limited, we use xylitol for cooking and he gets Whole Foods brand vanilla rice milk, pear juice or water to drink. We are doing the following supplements: B12 shots every 3 days. 800 mcg kirkman folinic acid daily, coromega 1 sachet daily, 2 capsules Carn-aware daily, Hopewell's glutathione cream 1/2 gram 2 x day, rotation of these probiotics: theralac, kirkman probio gold, primal defense, and multi spectrum complete, 1/2 tsp calcium powder (kirkmans) daily, benefiber daily, 5000iu vitamin A daily, 1200mg Magnesium daily 45 mg chelated zinc daily 1 klair multi mineral complex on days of dmps and 2 on off days AMT's DMPS (our full dose is 24 drops) we are currently at 6 drops Kirkman's Enzyme-complete/DPP-IV one with each meal and most snacks GF/CF childrens multivitamin Epson salt baths daily Just finished two 21 day courses of Diflucan for yeast (again) now using olive leaf extract one capsule a day and just finished a 10 day course of Omnicef for sinus and ear infections which was after a 3 day course of Zithromax did nothing to help. Also during this time we were told by our DAN! dr to go off the DMPS until we had completed the Diflucan. We had worked up to full dosage prior to stopping with no major problems just a little increased stims. He told us to start up slowly again and increase by 6 drops each 10 days to full dosage again. My question right now is that when has a urine accident in his pants or wets overnight. (he always did this if he got the diflucan after lunch time) he gets what looks like a bright red burn rash all over anyplace his wet clothing touched him. I usually catch him right away and bath him but the rash hangs around for quite a period of time. Any ideas as to what it is an indication of? Do I need to try and increase fluids more, is something missing from his supplements, is he getting too much of something? I've also seen an increase in other rashes different places on his body that come and go. It's not bumpy, it is under the skin but bright red. Could it even be a detox rash? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks, Mum of 6 only the youngest asd
