Hello,

I get some swelling sometimes in my lower legs after standing on them for

awhile, so it could very well be related to Fibro. It means her body is

retaining water, instead of releasing it. So cut back on Salt, drink plenty of

water to flush out the toxins from her body.

Elevate her feet when it gets really bad, and when its not bad get outside and

do some walking. If she sticks to all of this everyday, it will help.

Subject: Fibro and Swelling

My wife has been diagnosised with Fibro for about 5 years now. She has never

experienced swelling in her feet and lower legs before, until this past month. I

was wondering if any of you have experienced this and if it might be related to

Fibro or is it something else? Thanks for your time.

Hi, has she seem a doc about this? Could be a sign of other problems than fibro.

Plenty of water with a good sea salt from www.saltworks.com is good. especially

the pink himalyan with 84 minerals.

Please have your wife report this to her doctor. I can tell you that I had very

severe leg swelling. It stopped when I stopped drinking soda, both cokes/diet

cokes, etc. I have been not drinking soda for about a month now. I will say

that I have " slipped " as I was so addicted that I was not able to go cold turkey

and have drank about one a week if that. But I have gone from having 2-3 diet

sodas a day to none, and my leg swelling has really healed greatly. On the days

when I did slip, and drank *one* soda, I noticed the swelling in my legs come

back. I do not think these drinks are good for us, sweetened or made with

artifiical sweetner. As an American, it is part of my cultural heritage and I

find a lot of satisfaction from drinking these beverages, but I do not think

they are healthy. If your wife drinks them, you might have her stop them and

see if it improves. Regardless, good to check with the doctor because it can be

a serious problem.

Good luck.

Kathy
