Guest guest
, I use pilates and decided to do so because it is so very different from tae bo. I needed something that was not so high impact. I have had great results using both. I know pilates works because there was a time when I went to doing only tae bo and I continued to lose inches but I noticed that my abs did not look as firm. I use winsor pilates but I say shop around. You can do a search on www.collagevideo.com for pilates workouts and there are customer reviews that will help you determine which yield the best results. Wishing you all the best, Tyra abs I have one more question... *B*Does anyone here prectice Pilates? If yes, how do you think itcompares to Tae-Bo as far as core conditioning and ab training andtoning go? I know they are completely different, I just go curious tosee if anyone had experience with both and which one you think is moreeffective to get really nice abs (not necessarily a 6-pack!)TIA,--

Guest guest
I am not sure I read all of the answers to this question, but I did want to share my insights. Tae Bo and pilates are two different types of exercises, unless you mean BootCamp Abs which focuses on the core, like pilates. Even those are a little different and work the core differently. I guess it really depends on what you hope to accomplish. Winsor Pilates will strengthen you core (your stomach, sides and back) and will help with balance, and core strength. Tae Bo is more cardio based and will work your heart and cardiovascular fitness and aide in weight loss (Pilates, while it will firm up your core, is not an ideal weight loss work out - you don't get your heart rate up high enough or burn enough calories). BootCamp Abs will do things similar to Pilates, but with a focus more on slimming and strengthening of the abs instead of the whole core. Put them together and you have a fabulous regiment for getting fit, losing weight and maintaining it. <purple.fae@gmail .com> To Sent by: tae-bo_on tae-bo_on@yahoogr cc oups.com Subject abs 07/05/2005 01:03 PM Please respond to tae-bo_on@yahoogr oups.com Thanks for the input gals.
