Guest guest
I finished my 10 day dose of 200 mg Prometrium. I was fine with no side effects UNTIL the 10th and final day of the prescription. I developed the usual throbbing neck muscles and headache and I had been bleeding very heavily. But the day after I stopped the Prometrium, I started bleeding like there was no tomorrow. Fast and furious - worse than I had ever seen before. I went through a super duper tampon every 20 minutes. Now I have had heavy, fast bleeding before, but not like THIS. The doctor said I would shed the 14mm lining but I didn't expect this. I called her today to ask if I could do anything to slow the bleed and she gave me more Prometrium. I decided against a D & C because I wanted to try this with Prometrium and was pleasantly surprised that I had no side effects of pain (until the last day of the dose that is). Today I went to work and with all this bleeding, I spent the whole day in the bathroom and now my legs and arms are VERY heavy and I got tired just walking up 5 steps. My leg muscles felt like I had run 20 miles. I got very nervous about this because I was afraid I was bleeding to death and didn't know it! But now I'm afraid to take more 200mg Prometrium. Will the Prometrium help slow down this bleed? > > , > > This just happened to me.
