, hey sorry you feel this bad. Some say Lyme likes the ones who love life the most...About flagyl its a tough one. I understand why it is so hard to determine what is what. A guess would be you are herxing, getting worse before getting better is more then common. Its my man who has the bug and it has been hard to watch what it can do.Are you detoxing at all? Really important! You came to a good place here. Keep fighting and hit us with more questions.Blessings biancaSent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerrySender: Lyme_and_Rife Date: Thu, 1 Jul 2010 17:39:50 -0700 (PDT)To: <Lyme_and_Rife >ReplyTo: Lyme_and_Rife Subject: OT: how do u know the difference between herxing and lyme symptoms ? Hi F,

There is a very blurry line as to when we herx while on abx. Since abx is

typically given non-stop, we are almost herxing non-stop. I was prescribed IV

Rocephin and oral Flagyl for 14 weeks and every day was the worst day of my

life, I was non-stop herxing. A much better method of prescribing abx is

pulsing them... Something like 3 days on, 3 days off over a period of time..

While off the abx, this would allow the body to detox without more being

constantly killed... With natural treatments we tend to scale up the dose thus

keeping herxes much milder. When you are killing all the time and in such

strength, it is impossible for the body to detox this out fast enough, thus you

are toxic and ill, also known as a tough herx.

I can also tell you I had to stop the Flagyl in week 12 as I got peripheral

neuropathy in both my feet from using it, when I stopped it, I felt so much

better, even while still on the Rocephin... Flagyl for some of us is very hard

to take...

At some point you will feel better, most likely when this course of abx is over.

But unless you continue with something else such as a natural killing protocol,

Lyme will continue to grow in you... Many of us using natural treatments are

better now....

Are you using some good probiotics while on abx? This is so very important as

abx does kill the gut flora and it needs to be rebuilt... I have found that one

of the best and less expensive forms of probiotics is making and drinking your

own Kefir, not yogurt, but Kefir... I've been doing this for almost a month now,

easy to do and I know I am getting loaded up with good probiotics... I wish I

had listened to Lena, a long time group member here, three years ago when she

was talking about it...

The best way to make Kefir is with real Kefir grains, NOT Kefir starter in a box

or not the ready made Kefir in the dairy section of the grocery store... Here

are a few links including where I bought mine from... It is important to get

good safe quality grains, the person I and others on the group have bought from

have excellent quality grains, the price is very reasonable... Any quart size

(or larger) glass jar with a cover will do, I use plain ole canning jars. You

can use any kind of milk to make Kefir, raw or organic is best, some also use

goats milk. And if you take care of these grains, they will last you forever,

you should only have to buy them once.

http://www.communicationagents.com/chris/2007/05/01/how_to_use_probiotics_kefir.\

htm

http://www.seedsofhealth.co.uk/fermenting/kefir_howto.shtml

http://www.organicden.com/kefir-healthiest-probiotic-milk-beverage-in-the-world/

This is where I bought my grains:

http://shop.ebay.com/dajabon/m.html?_nkw= & _armrs=1 & _from= & _ipg= & _trksid=p4340

Other things you can do to help these herxes is detoxing 24/7/365... Here are

some simple basic techniques, drinking lots of water by far is the best

detox....

Detox basics:

Those with chronic illnesses should drink 1/2 (or more) their body weight in

filtered or distilled water daily... This is one of the best detox methods...

Bm's - you should strive to have 2 - 3 bm's daily.... This is so important, but

don't take laxatives to accomplish this... Instead, take extra Vitamin C or

magnesium to bowel tolerance... It takes some practice, but is doable.

Deep breathing... Many toxins are expelled with deep breathing...

Sweating - Do some exercises daily and or use a FIR sauna or Bio Mat that cause

you to sweat... Exercising outside in the sun is even better as you will sweat

easier and you will capture some much needed Vitamin D.

Honestly , you will get beyond feeling this badly and will feel better...

As we often say here " this too will pass. " And I have found one of the best

things to help get over a bad herx is post to the group and let the compassion

from other flow, it sure does a body good to know others know what you are going

through and are there for you....

I pray this will end soon for you,

Jim

Tahnk you for your answer.

I do liver cleanse in addition to eanema it remove the stone big one full of

Very well put about the blur the problems with antibiotics outside of the acute

stage, Jim.

I would also add that I noticed this when I finally learned to count more on

protocols such a rife (which I like to call frequency therapy these days),

teasel, colloidal silver and Zhang's herbs for a short time. The herxes are

generally clear and pronouced and then the recovery is usually clear for the

most part as well. I basically got my life back when this better pattern came to

place.

HI Marie,  I was living in Paris before I had to come back to US because of my Lyme, I will be returning when I get better-- I miss it, so whenever I hear someone is there my eyes light up!BM= bowel movement (or going to the bathroom-- French: mouvement d'intestin), people like to abbreviate this :-)

I am not one of the lucky people who can have a bm 2-3 times a day so I have to alternate between enemas and laxatives when i have to. Whitney

Thats too bad-- I know it seems so much more painful when there is so much going on around you to see, and you can't enjoy it. Stay strong and one day you will return to health and enjoy everything this world has to offer.

Whitney

Same for me I take prune , cholrella spinach ground flax seeds .

eanema etc like every body

Paris is still beautifull but I am unable to go any firther than a few steps so ...

Hi Marie,

You can use enema's if you wish, or you can take a lot of Vit C or magnesium,

they will get you going... Some folks only need take Vit C 1000mg, some need to

take up to 5000mg per hour until you go... Same for magnesium...

Sure sorry to hear about your paralysis caused by Rocephin, first time I have

heard of this... Dr. Burrascano, a will known LLMD and Lyme researcher set a

protocol for treating chronic Lyme with IV Rocephin and oral Flagyl, he said

they should be used for 14 weeks or more unti the infection is greatly reduced.

Dr. Burrascano:

>>>>LATE DISSEMINATED: present greater than one year, more severely ill

patients, and those with prior

significant steroid therapy or any other cause of impaired immunity:

1) Adults and pregnancy: extended I.V. therapy (14 or more weeks), then

oral or IM, if effective, to same endpoint. Combination therapy with at least

two dissimilar antibiotics almost always needed.

2) Children: IV therapy for 6 or more weeks, then oral or IM follow up as above.

Combination

therapy usually needed.<<<<

Take care,

Jim

Hi thewayup05,

I am pleased to hear these therapies have helped you back to better health!

This is what I mean by using natural treatments, we keep scaling up and control

the herxes... With abx, some, including me were sick almost from the first week,

I knew it was a constant and relentless herx, but for some it could also be a

reaction to the abx... And when docs prescribe abx for months at a time, this

can be one grueling experience...

With natural treatments, we rarely experience this!

Take care,

Jim

Hi Whitney,

Instead of using laxatives, you might want to use Vit C or magnesium... Both

taken in

high enough doses will do the trick.... Need to take them every hour until you

go...

I would start C at 1000 mg, mag at 3000mg... You can increase the dose for

quicker

action... These are greatly superior to laxatives and they both are very healthy

for

us Lymies!

Take care,

Jim
