Guest guest Posted November 30, 2004 Report Share Posted November 30, 2004 I have been gone for a week & offline & when I got back home some friends said there is a new clinic or manufacturerer (they weren't too sure on this) that was being built here in San Diego or maybe Oceanside, CA. Said they will be producing a new drug for MS. Does anyone know about the drug & where in CA its going to be done?? I'm not overly excited about this new drug. Just curious. I am on Avonex & doing well with it. What I am hoping that somewhere, someone will figure out what causes MS!!!!!!! Now that would be something to get excited about!!!!! When I first started I took 2 Excedrin an hour before my shot then took 2 more an hour later. I also do my shots late afternoon. This way if I do have any reactions they usually come at nite when I'm sleeping. I don't give myself my own shot. My hands were affected the most & have problems mentally as well about giving me my shots. The good thing is if you are on Medicare Avonex is covered. You have to go to dr's office which for now isn't any problem. So which ever you do your own shot or some one else give it to you do it late afternoon early evening. I can go several months now & have very little reaction and then wham I'll have a bad 2 days. Really not really bad just yucky days as I say.
