Well, this is even more reason to start him on a new diet. Thanks again, Anne, Folic acid is very important for autistic children. Please read about the work of Stanley Baker and autism. Perhaps a supplement is in order if he won't eat any of the foods that contain folic acid ... I was so happy to learn beets contain folic acid; Lacey is allergic to all of the other foods listed, except leafy green vegetables. Oddly enough, Lacey kept insisting on gesturing for a can of beets just yesterday. Of course, she didn't like them once she got them but I think she was trying to tell me I had better get a supplement for her also. Such a fascinating girl ... Guest guest
You know, I eat a lot of almost all of those foods, plus taking a folic acid supplement, and my hair is still getting gray. I guess I'll just have to put up with it. Jim Laidler > Anne, > The Vita Chart, editor: Carolyn Heller West, lists graying hair as a symptom of folic acid deficiency. The natural sources of folic acid it lists includes beets, boysenberries, brown rice, cabbage family, cantaloupe, citrus fruits, leafy green vegetables, soyflour, and spinach. > S
Guest guest
Well, some of it is hereditary, Jim <smile>. Besides, men look great with grey. Women hardly ever do. I am getting two streaks on either side of my forehead and beginning to look like that Elvira woman! Guest guest
Hi My ten year old is starting to get some gray/white hair. Runs in the family. Mother's maiden name is White. Uncle was called Whitey. I am almost half there too. Lots of things could be responsible ..., PABA has been reported to help. Personally I think it is hereditary and doesn't mean all that much ... UNLESS everyone with gray hair has more susceptibility to mercury...

Guest guest
It can also be a symptom of zinc defficiency and thus probably common with toxicity. My hair had a salt-and-pepper look for years when I was toxic but I'm not less gray than I used to be. Gaylen
