Guest guest
I have a 30# (BCS 7/9) 10yo F/S mixed breed who has a torn ACL with a meniscal click. Had the previous ACL repaired 1 year ago and went well. The dog also has a mild heart murmur rDVM graded it a 1/4 (I thought it was a 2/4). The owner has limited funds and is concerned about surgery with a heart murmur. She can't afford surgery and rehab and a heart workup... What is the groups thoughts on the REALISTIC expectations without surgery, for this dog given it has a meniscal injury? Do you think a brace would be beneficial in this case?? I know surgery is the best option but the owner would like a best guess/idea how things may go without. btw rDVM has not returned my call so I have been unable to discuss it with her.
