Guest guest
hello: i wanted to see if anyone else out there has had success with rolfing treatments. i have massive fatigue and some neuromuscular issues with lyme that causes me to have a wobbly, unsteady gait and a charlie horse-type spasm around my mouth when speaking. after a 1.5 hour rolfing session i walked out of there with a normal gait, no issues speaking and a general energized feeling. i felt like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. i had previously done a 10-session treatment a few years ago so i knew the positive effects of rolfing...i wasn't expecting to feel so energized after this one treatment. it lasted for about 4 days before i was back in bed (not sure if i got a delayed herx from it or not) but i'm pretty much back to where i started. i saw my LLMD yesterday and he said he has seen patients where the effects of each treatment last longer and longer; i have another treatment tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. my rolfer stated she opened up the neural pathways and did something to the proprioception; i'm not sure what that means or how it all works but there was proof that something happened and it was for the better. just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like that as a search for " rolf " on the forum comes up with nothing. thanks pamela
