Okay I have worked alot with my doctor and provided her with all the

information on misophonia that I could get my hands on. I've listed

previously the medications that I have tried and that have failed but

here I will list the medicines that I have been prescribed that are

helping ALOT. 1. paxil 30 mg daily- this is my newest medicine an wow I

can say it really softens my response to the trigger sounds and it seems

the longer I take it the better it is getting 2. Vicodin 5 mg as needed

this seems to be the most effective treatment for me, when I take

vicodin with some grapefruit juice it helps SO much I can actually

tolerate the noises even though I still like to have some soft music on

my iPhone going. My doctor agrees to use the vicodin sparingly to avoid

tolerance and YES it can be highly addictive but my emotional pain from

the triggers just as you all know is just as painful if not more than

physical pain and for some reason vicodin works for me thank god. Last

but not least I'm prescribed 2 mg Xanax as needed. So far this mix along

with voluntary increased exposure with my medicine has helped so much

that I no longer have to scratch my self or mimic the sound to gain

relief. I'll continue to look for ways to improve my misophonia and I'm

confident I will, if you would have told me 10 years ago when I was 14

and this all started that I would one day find some significant relief I

wouldn't have believed it. Looking forward to future improvements :) btw

Good morning, thank you for sharing that. Would you be willing to put that information on the private section of the forums as well? http://www.soundsensitivity.info/Forum/viewforum.php?f=39 Thanks From: Soundsensitivity [mailto:Soundsensitivity ] On Behalf Of Lala XoxoSent: Monday, 13 June 2011 7:55 AMTo: Soundsensitivity Subject: What's worked for me so far..!
