Does anyone know of a good counselor, therapist, or shrink in Southern

California, or anywhere for that matter, who is familiar with misophonia/4S?

I am a Psychotherapist, Counselor, and Advanced ksonian Hypnotherapist, practicing just outside of San Francisco from November 2011-March/April 2012. I would be haoppy to see you if you are in or near Marin at that time. I do not charge for 4 S work, as, just like you, I am trying to identify andf offer help.

I am a doctoral student in psychology in Berkeley. Wondering if you would want

to connect offline to throw around ideas for treatment and possibly some

DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am presently abroad until November, But so want to talk/meet with you. There is another grad student in SF who has contacted me but I do not have my files here to put you in touch. Please send me your telephone number.............................................

I REALLY want to help crack this disorder (although I personally do not suffer fromit, thank heaven),and hope we can put our heads together.

I have been attending Tinnitus and Hyperacusis therapy trainings, the most recent being with Hogan (author of "Turning Down the Volume"). He has passed on some great ideas, and when I return to California hope to see some 4S patients and do some serious work. To date I have only interviewed a few, as I did not feel I could treat without being fairly convinced of success.

What is your aim, and the approach for your thesis? I will help if I can.

i also live in so. cal. i do have a 'shrink' and she has learned from me about

this. i got a diagnosis of misophonia from an audiologist in beverly hills who

told me 'you need treatment' but your ins. doesn't cover treatment. i also have

tinnitus. i have found the most support 'here'..in the last year, my rage over

certain sounds is getting worse.
