Guest guest
Hi, It's good to know what you are up against. It still could be the antibiotic (for the EN) but now it is not as certain, and I am back to the choice of drug or pneumonia. Has anyone tried to get you to take prednisone? I would be wary of that, and not just for the normal bad side-effect reasons. When I was in the hospital they withheld it until they had ruled out any type of fungal infection - they said that prednisone could make it worse. I read up on Valley Fever. Has it been caught in early stages for you? Please let me know what treatment, if any, they suggest for you, and let me know how you are doing as time passes. Best wishes for good health SOON! Pat > > I just found out that I did test positive for Valley Fever- coccidioidomycosis. This explains the fever, night sweats, headache, things in my lungs that are going to be checked out on Friday and the swollen ankles. EN is a very common symptom of Valley Fever, which also explains that. > I am not sure how to think of this new diagnosis, as I have to now put this down every time I go to a new doctor. It's for life. >
