Guest guest
My sister is expecting a child and is Rh-. She is scheduled to get a shot related to the Rh- in about 4 weeks but doesn't know any details about the shot. Is Rhogam still given? Is it available in a mercury-free version and if so are there still versions with mercury being used? Thanks. Dave
Guest guest
[ ] Rhogam-are there mercury-free alternatives? My sister is expecting a child and is Rh-. She is scheduled to get a shot related to the Rh- in about 4 weeks but doesn't know any details about the shot. Is Rhogam still given? yes Is it available in a mercury-free version and if so are there still versions with mercury being used? yes to both Thanks. Dave You can also avoid taking it altogether by testing cord blood at birth and then getting the shot if necessary . Its a blood product. I read win rho has no merc? listmates? Guest guest
Someone wrote that you can avoid Rhogam by testing the cord blood at birth. By then it's too late. Unless both parents are Rh negative, then the child will likely be Rh positive, which is what could create the health problems. My child with autism had very, very serious jaundice at birth caused by a blood incompatibility with me, and frankly, I've wondered if that is the cause of some of the problems we've seen, not just the mercury from later vaccines. (I did not get Rhogam, as it would not have worked in our case). --- Barclay <thujalog@...> wrote: > > [ ] Rhogam-are there > mercury-free alternatives? > > > My sister is expecting a child and is Rh-. By then it's too late. " ??? Sounds like Doctors scare tactics to me. The RH shot is to avoid building antibodies against a fetus. It has no effect on a current pregnacy. If the babies blood type is the same as your spouses (opposite yours) then a subsequent pregnancy where the babies blood type is also the same as your spouses (opposite yours) puts that fetus at risk. And only if you didn't get the shot within a day or so following the delivery of the first baby who must have had an opposite blood type of the mothers. We are an RH family. We had 3 children. Tested blood type @ birth on each. 1st child same blood as mom - no shots. 2nd child opposite blood type of mom -RH shot after birth. 3rd child same blood as mom - no shots. Doctor supported us with doing this and he works by the book - has to ,small town. Our 1st child was still nursing at birth of our second, he was 18 mos. rhogam had thimersol, our son developed autism following that, lost all speech. both his younger sisters are typical children. We never vaccs. our kids.
Guest guest
, Are you saying that the thimerisol that the mom got from one rhogam affected the 18 month old nursing baby, causing autism? Wow, that is amazing. I wonder if rhogam shots have more mercury than a vaccine. I had eight rhogams by the time my son was born, and he nursed for nine months. Guest guest
Dave, No personal experience here, but in the past several on the list have said they call the mercury-free version WinRho and that one must ask for it by name. " Yes we believe that mercury via thimersol injection was passed through the breastmilk. My dw also had amalgam fillings 4 mos. after birth of our son. We used to eat a lot of tuna :-(. Our son breastfed a lot, we thought we were doing best by him (many la leche league moms advocate breastfeeding till 4 or 5 years). On hindsight we noticed following that injection that he was regressing developmentally. He is seven now and we just had all his amalgams replaced with composite fillings. We discovered the merc issue only last year. Huge improvement starting about 4 days after removal of amalgams especially in speech and visual issues around lighting. Hoping to get started soon chelating pending test results. Already gfcf. Guest guest
Hi, I am way behind on my emails, so I hope I am not repeating anything. I am a rh - Mum, and never had a rhogam shot. I live in New Zealand and they are not routinely given here. I have one son rh - (nt) and one son rh + (autistic), in NZ you are only given a rhogam shot if you have bleeding while pregnant and only if that bleeding accurs after a certain week (wk 12 I think, can't remember exactly). Then when our babies are born the blood cord is tested so for my first child who was rh - , I rec'd nothing and for my second child who was rh +, I rec'd an 'anti D' injection, which had to be done in a certain amount of time after the birth. regards Re: [ ] Rhogam-are there mercury-free alternatives? > > Re: [ ] Rhogam-are there mercury-free alternatives? > > > " Someone wrote that you can avoid Rhogam by testing the > cord blood at birth. Guest guest
Hi, I am an RH- Mom of 3. I received Rhogham Shots during and after each pregnancy. Does anyone know how these shorts relate with mercury poising, and possibly the poisoning of my autistic son? Anne
Guest guest
Hi Anne, I will assume you are new: welcome. The short answer is: these shots have mercury in them. Apparently there is some type of Rhogam without mercury, but it is not commonly used and you have to ask for it by name. Thus, I would assume the shots you got had mercury. Mercury is passed to babies during gestation, and through breastmilk. Most infants are exposed to mercury through vaccines--- so you might want to think about how this also may apply to your son. Yes, this possibly relates to your son's autism. While it seems apparent that vaccination does not directly cause autism BY ITESELF (or everyone who is vaccinated would have it), it is not unrelated! Quite the contrary. I have read too many stories of kids who regressed after vaccination to EVER think that it is not VERY related. Further, a lot of kids on this list [um--- whose parents are on this list] are improving through heavy metal chelation. best, Moria At 11:11 AM 5/17/2001 EDT, you wrote: >Hi, I am an RH- Mom of 3. Guest guest
Each Rhogam shot contains thimerosal, a mercury containing preservative, so Rhogam could have contributed to your son's disability. Guest guest
Yes. Rhogam shots had (have?) mercury in them, so the baby (and you) received mercury through that avenue.
