Guest guest
Hi Nina, Over the years I have used several different types of support stockings. I have had EN for over 40 yrs, so back then all we had was the elastic bandages to wrap and hold on with a safety pin....VERY stylish! They never seemed to stay up with my thin legs and I would have to re-wrap as they slipped down. But you can adjust the compression so that was good. Then I went to the TEDS hose that went up to the thigh. I would roll them to above the knee to keep them from slipping down. This was a nice cosmetic improvement over the elastic bandages--much quicker to apply too. Now I use a knee high support sock, which I like. It is actually a men' style which I bought when a drug store chain went out of business a couple yrs ago and sold off their inventory at less than half price. I bought a bunch and they will last a long time as I only use them on the left leg. I don't know what the compression number is and I think it really depends on how thick your legs are. I have some TEDS that I bought online that did not have sufficient compression for my slim legs. No one took me up on a Donation to EN Research for purchasing a personalized Mother's Day Poem. So, I am offering the same deal--I will donate half of the cost of a Father's Day Poem to EN Research. Go to my poetry blog below to see samples of my work. If you were going to spend $50 on a gift anyway, why not donate half to cure EN and honor Dad at the same time? Wishing you and all our members a Happy and Painfree Day! Love, idio EN '68 in Remission now. http://poems2order.wordpress.com
