Guest guest
Having it checked out to make sure it isn't something else, sounds like a good idea to me. I am not sure if it is something that needs to be seen in the ER right now, or if it is something that can be seen by your General Dr. sometime during the Week!?! Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Congratulations on starting your first BFL challenge!! Everyone on this board has gone through what you are feeling. The soreness is so bad you can't walk up stairs, brush your hair, or even sit up in bed. It does go away!! You did a very smart thing in listening to your body and walked your 2 miles instead of running. Throughout the challenge, listen to what your body is telling you. Can you push yourself even harder or do you need to let off a little and let your body recover. Anyway, to answer your question; I have never done a 20 minute BFL workout. My cardio days are a minimum of 30 minutes up to an hour. I do alternate endurance training with interval training. With that said, there is great benefit from HIIT (High intensity interval training)like the BFL cardio WO. I think your 5 k goal is awesome!! If I were you I would split up your endurance training with some shorter interval work. This will help you build speed. My two cents, > Do you all try to stick to the 20 minute aerobic workout? Guest guest
hello Sandy! Welcome to BFL and the group! About your aerobics, I personally prefer to do the 20 minute HIIT 3 times a week....if you want to keep up with your distance jogging, maybe do that on the off days. I occassionally do cardio on my weight training days...I just don't do the HIIT cardio on those days. Guest guest
Hi dee, It's Kathleen here. Glad to see you. This group has always been my strength. There is always someone who has a different perspective and can help me thru any crisis that's come up for me. There's so much information and compassion from the people on this list. I've been a member for a number of years. I made the move to North Carolina and it's beautiful. Still not working but I'll be looking next week. Good to see you again. I've missed you. Guest guest
My name is Carie and I am in my 40's. I am a teacher and spend most of my standing and squatting. I was originally diagnosed with EN about 13 years ago. At that time, I was in quite a bit of pain and found walking difficult. It disappeared totally after about 1 year. I had forgotten all about it, until this past August when I noticed it coming back. I was having resitory issues related to mold and dust exposure. It went away quickly, but has reocurred about a month ago. Now I am having joint swelling. I was wondering if there are some natural treatments that anyone has had any success with? Guest guest
Hey that sounds awful. You should ask the teacher or principal or guidance counsellor if you can be allowed to wear an mp3 player during class when the teacher is not actually talking. Also, you can ask the teacher/principal to ban chewing gum from classes (at least your classes). Also, ask if you can be put in a separate room when writing tests/exams, it might help with some of the noises that are harder to control (breathing, coughing, etc.). Hope these help!!! Hang in there. > > im 13 and is suffering greatly with 4s wich its lot worse at school cuz i hear all the trigger sounds there more than at school such as whistling, snapping of fingers, chewing gum, some clicking sound(wich i have sound reseantly from this sone kid that i have in two hours),sniffling, coughing, clearing throwt(sorry my spelling is not good),ect. and the worse part is when htey know how it efects me they do its more and this tiem on perpose im trying to stay posotive but its so hard and at home i hear my brother luagh(wich is high pitched) and my sister sneaze(wich is also high pitched) >
