SPECT/CT SCAN!!

I'm trying to not get too excited but I have to tell " my people " the news . . .

I asked around for a Naturopath and got a MD/Doctor's name, called and went in

for the appointment this past Tuesday. He LISTENED to us and agreed that

something is different. (It probably helped that I was a few steps from psycho

and pretty suicidal since I'd had some bogus Fluoxetine and stopped cold-turkey:

bad idea.) He respected and understood everything that I (with my husband by my

side) have tried. Psychological counseling? check. EEG neurofeedback? check.

Neurologist? (huge disappointment but) check. gluten free? check. B vitamins?

Krill oil? yes yes. He did a ton of blood tests (heavy metals, DHEA, hormones,

cortisol, etc etc.) and he authorized a SPECT/CT (like Dr. Amen is famous for).

We went today and had the scan. The hospital allowed us to finance the cost for

a year at zero interest. We HAD to go for it even if we have to pay for it

(we've chosen insurance with a high deductible to try to keep the cost down:

we're still ahead of the game). This may be the only chance we get

authorization for brain imaging (using the bogus " epilepsy " semi-diagnosis from

the quack-neurologist). I'll know in a few days if it shows anything. We'll

have the results from the blood tests in a week. If we need to go further, our

next steps are adrenals and pituitary and allergy testing. Since we already

spent a lot towards our deductible we may as well keep going: retirement

account, here I come! I am hoping hoping that there's something wrong in my

brain (strange but WE understand)and that is something added and not something

missing! Will keep you posted . . . keep the faith. If we can find

something, I'll ask the Doctor and then broadcast here so everyone in or near

San Diego/LA/Orange CA can be in on it if you want. I am trying sooo hard to

not be too optimistic.
