Guest guest Posted February 17, 2008 Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 Hi Sue I do use herbs for fertility when treating patients that are on IVF treatment, as well as giving general health and well being herbs, supplements etc. That is because here in singapore just about everyone I see for fertility treatment is under a consultant and taking something or other. I have found that Clomid is given out like sweets and in my experience it only seems to be effective in younger women. Many of my fertility patients are over forty and the herbs are a last resort, so I always incorporate the hard hitters. hope this helps sharita fertility treatment Second query of the evening! I wondered whether other herbalists use herbs with hormonal actions when patients are concurrently taking drugs like Clomid or having IVF? I have tended to steer clear of herbs like Vitex, Paeonia, Cimicifuga, Chamaelirium and work on improving general vitality and well-being in other ways, but would be really interested to know what other folk think.
