Guest guest
hello - I am new to this group -been meaning to join for ages and have been spurred into action by needing some advice! My husbands' one year old grandson has recently been diagnosed with moderate to severe multitonal cerebral palsy. He is soon to be receiving physio from the Brainwave Centre in Somerset which aims to maximise the brains' ability to compensate for lost function, and to maximise remaining function. I was hoping to give him some herbs that could support this process. In Anne McIntyre's book 'Herbal Treatment of Children: Western and Ayurvedic Perspectives', there is mention of Bacopa monnieri being used traditionally in India for cerebral palsy in children under the age of 2, and after this Acorus calamus is used. Has anyone any further information on this, any other ideas, experience etc? I was thinking of Hypericum too. Thanks, Belinda Bradbury MNIMH Bristol belinda@...
