Guest guest
Sam has an issue, as I do, with doctors who's first option is medication. Some, not all, of these doctors feel that we won't be compliant on diets so whats the use of trying it? And it is hard to follow a diet! But part of the problem also is that the doctors often don't impress upon us the seriousness of this. I know I was told to " try " and lose a little weight and to watch my sugar. I was given no meter, no info on diabetes, no classes, nothing. Many of us have had to figure it out ourselves. And once we learned what we weren't told, we were upset with the medical system that left us in the cold, then we were distrustful and wonder what else they aren't telling us. Medication is a blessing, there is no doubt of that, but there is also no doubt that it is better not to have to take it and we should get that option or at least be told of how to go about doing it and whether it is possible for us.
