Guest guest
While the US is where the Unitarians and Universalists evolved from Christianity, there are a variety of forms of UU around the world - including down under. - http://www.anzua.org/anzua_alt/ Actually both unitarianism and universalism are very, very old. Early unitarians were the losers at the Council of Nieca. They argued for the unity of God and against the trinity and the divinity of Jesus. There are still several Christian Unitarian churches. Translyvania has a long history of Christian Unitarianism and even had a Unitarian king at one time. Universalist roots go back to the concept of universal salvation. Another UU funny - " Universalists believe that God is too good to damn people, and the Unitarians believe that people are too good to be damned by God. " Yeah, yeah, this one is funnier, " Why did the UU cross the road? To support the chicken in its search for its own path. " There is a list of UU groups outside the US at http://www.uua.org/leaders/international/affiliates/44318.shtml Anybody interested in knowing more can e-mail me directly. I don't want to veer off topic, but just wanted to point out that Unitarian Universalism is a faith that is very consistent with ACT.
