Guest guest
 First sorry to hear your feeling as you are. Now were do you live? I ask as in the states we have a law called the ada law. some states have other laws that may also be in effect in this as if you have been DX as having stills before this and the place you work is over a set number of people not at the job sight but in the company there are things that you should do and one would be talk to your employment people if need be and or state disability people if your state has disability. Again that is assuming your here in the states. now as for the rest well it is hard yes and it never fails that when we are down and hurting other things also seam to start to also pile on top of us making it seam even more hope less but the truth is there is always hope. Lets look at one thing here you had a remission or at lest a time of less problems and so live a so called almost normal life. Well okay so things are acting up again at lest you got that reprieve that some never get and the chance is you just may again. My self I tend to go in and out every few years so that seams to be normal for me 1 to 2 years feeling like you know what and then 1 or a bit longer feeling some what okay.. now one more good point is your PCP has already got you working to a RA doc being you do not have one right now and that good as many try to deal with it them self’s at first before they do that so already your on a good curve here I think. Now I know you do not feel like that but you are. as for the car well my old Junker has 200,000 plus miles on it and I keep waiting for it to break down every time I get into it as I do not know how much more duck tape and bailing wire I can still get on it. Some how it still is putt putting away for me. So all I can do is tell you what I try to do my self and that is still look for some thing positive in things even the bad. Not easy I know but I still try as doing that gives me hope many time when I have felt I had none and no matter what as my wife says thing could be worse. even as I want to tell her to shut the you know what up I have to smile as she is right they could be so I find some thing to give hope hang on to it and grit my teeth both of them ( hey I am a redneck) and hang one as I still have to many people to tick off yet to give up now! so hang in there.  Hugs  the redneck Marty G. Guest guest
, Not to get on your case, BUT....get your tush in to see a rheumy. A GP does not usually have the knowledge to treat you appropriately. The second thing is chronic pain should NOT be treat on a PRN basis. Chronic pain medication needs to be taken on a SCHEDULE. If you wait until your pain is really bad, then your pain ends up being 10 X worse than if you'd taken your pain meds on a schedule and you need far more pain medication than you would have if you'd taken it on schedule. Additonally, your doc is giving you the WRONG pain medication for chronic pain. NEVER EVER should a patient with chronic pain be given a narcotic WITH acetaminophen (Tylenol). It only takes 4 grams of acetaminiophen to cause liver failure. That's just 2 Extra Strength Tylenol 4 X a day!!! The pain medication in Percocet comes WITHOUT the Tylenol too and that's what you should be taking. People mistakenly think that Tylenol is not a toxic drug but it causes more drug deaths a year than just about any other over the counter med. Pain management docs NEVER give Tylenol based drugs because it seriously limits the amount of pain medication you can take. And, you should never ever ever take a Tylenol based drug and drink alcohol. Even one drink can cause sudden liver failure. A good rheumy probably can do pain control for you too. Your story illustates the importance of seeing the RIGHT speciality. Many people thing that a doctor is a doctor so what's the difference? All docs are NOT created equally and there is a reason that there are specialities in medicine. Would you ask your plumber to trim your tree branches? Of course not. Even if your plumber says he knows how to do that is he really going to do the same quality job as a gardener? So please go in to see a rheumy and get on the appropriate medications for your pain. Guest guest
Hello I am so sorry that you are going through such a bad time at the moment. One thing at a time would be helpful, but it never seems to happen that way. I hope you can get the right medication to make you feel stronger, I know that you will still have your problems, but hopefully you will be better able to cope with them. Thinking of you and wishing you well. Joan U.K.
