Guest guest
> Here is a chart I was given by my CDE. Pat, Thanks! This is very helpful.... I'm never sure what the numbers mean with the A1c. The nurse just tells me it's too high.... watch your sugars and exercise. Sandy
Guest guest
If anyone is interested, I have a chart that compares A1c levels, glucose levels, and glucoprotein numbers. If anyone is using the InCharge glucoprotein meter, this gives you a bit better idea of how that number translates. The only thing I can do when it's high is exercise, and that helps some. I hate getting up to a high blood sugar and being hungry for breakfast... I've been just having bacon and eggs... not toast. That works pretty well, but I'd rather have cereal :-) Sandy

I've never heard of a glucoprotein meter.... what does it measure? Seems from the name that it measure blood sugar and protein? Guest guest
In searching this morning I saw a chart that showed a rapid increase in neuropathy above a HbA1c of 5.9%. Sam
Guest guest
Hi , Thats an excellent fasting bg I am assuming the 150 is 1 1/2 to 2 hrs pp. I'd suggest taking a look at what you're eating. If you suspect a culprit, test, then eat it alone at your next meal, then test again 1 1/2 to 2 hrs afterwards and see how it affects your bg. The culprit is usually carb related.
