Zero point foods

Some of you may know that I published a WW Points Calculator for the

Palm, until WW ordered me to remove it. From examining and manipulating the

slider, I discovered the following:

1. Fiber reduces calorie count (10 calories for each gram fiber)

2. Fat increases calorie count (1/12 point per gram fat)

3. Calories, adjusted by fat and fiber, are 50 calories per point

4. This is the kicker: The first 25 calories are free.

Thus, high fiber foods like veggies are free because their fiber count

reduces their calories. Since they are not reduced to zero, even high fiber

foods can add up.

Best,
