Guest guest
Sam, How many Feosol per day should I take to get my Ferritin up? I am going to look for some at Wallgreens today. Do regular drug stores carry it or do I need to look at IHerb or something similar? Isn't Feosol ferrous sulfate? I took large amounts of ferrous sulfate in the past and it did nothing as well for my ferritin. Do you think that as I am stabilized on Armour that maybe that will be a key for getting iron to absorb? Does low ferritin and low thyroid go hand in and and feed off of each other? Maybe like this--low thyroid causes low ferritin-low ferritin makes raising thyroid difficult? Maybe one of the reasons why I am so sensitive to Armour is because my Ferritin is only 30? I am also gluten intolerant so I am predisposed to not having my nutrients absorb well. My Enterolab test showed that I was absorbing fat well though so I would think that I am also absorbing other nutrients well but who knows. Thanks for your help. I really really appreciate it! I would give you a big hug if you were here! Kathy > > Please, raise ferritin first. Guest guest
Hi Sam, I am looking up Feosol: http://www.feosol.com/faq.aspx The page above says that Feosol CAPLETS contain Carbonyl iron and Feosol Tablets contain Ferrous Sulfate. Is the Carbonyl iron the better one? Do you know if there is a difference? I have never heard of carbonyl iron before. Thanks, Kathy > > > > Please, raise ferritin first. Guest guest
I am sorry to post so many times. I just read that Feosol is not gluten free--I cannot take it!!!! I hate this gluten problem! I am going to call my doctor on Monday and ask for the RX iron Repliva. Hopefully I do not find out that that has gluten in it as well. Thanks, Kathy > > > > > > Please, raise ferritin first. Guest guest
Here's " the " list of gluten-free drugs: http://www.glutenfreedrugs.com/list.htm I see that feosol has " traces " fo gluten, but there are a couple of iron supps that don't. Remember to take vitamin c with iron supplements. Sam ===== > I am sorry to post so many times. I just read that Feosol is not > gluten free--I cannot take it!!!! I hate this gluten problem!
