Doctors in Omaha say there might be new hope for men with advanced

prostate cancer.

Researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha have

been working with patients whose cancer has spread from the prostate to

the lymph nodes.

They're using a treatment that combines high doses of radiation and

chemotherapy and the result, they say, could save lives.

Gordon Hauptman, had the treatment, " I feel absolutely great. "

" The double edged sword however is that as you increase that radiation

dose there is a potential to have a higher risk of complications, " Dr.

Enke, Oncologist

Right now, the treatment is still being studied. It's only been tried

on three men, but doctors say, all are doing well.

Now, the medical center is looking for more men with advanced prostate

cancer to take part in their study.
