PS -- w/ these links that I post - I wonder if there are many of you

who are unable to follow them... If so, here's how you can get into

them if you haven't been able to before:

From Yahoo Moderator newsletter:

Tip: Converting From an Email-Only Yahoo! Groups Account

Many of my members receive email only in my private group. I want to

give them a link to photos, but they have to get a Yahoo! ID. How do

they link the Yahoo! ID to the email address they're signed up with?

We get this question often from group owners whose members include

people who don't normally go to the Groups web site. But when your

members view your group only from email, they miss out on some of the

best features Yahoo! Groups has to offer, including online photos and

albums, group polls and shared links, and searching group message

archives.

To take advantage of these Web-only features, members need Web access

to their group. They can get it simply by associating their email

address with a Yahoo! ID. Tell your members who want to convert to a

Web-enabled account to go to http://groups.yahoo.com/memwiz and

follow the simple steps.

If members don't already have a Yahoo! ID, getting one is easy and

free.

Note: Signing up for a Yahoo! ID does not obligate your members to

use a Yahoo! Mail account. Your members can continue receiving group

messages at their current email address if they list it as a primary

alternate email address during the sign-up process. Our Help pages

have more information about accessing Yahoo! Groups from the Web.

----------

From the Help Page:

I'm receiving email from a group, but when I try to visit the group's

webpages, it says that I " need to enable web access " .

If you join the email list of a Yahoo! Group without using a Yahoo!

ID, you won't have access to the group's web features until you

follow the instructions below:

1. Go to the Yahoo! Groups Membership Wizard.

You'll be asked to sign in with your Yahoo! ID. (If you're not a

registered Yahoo! member, you may sign up for a free account on this

page. Once you complete your registration, you'll be returned to the

Membership Wizard.)

2. Make sure the email address where you're receiving messages from

the group appears in the Membership Wizard. If it doesn't appear, add

it via the link provided. (If you add an address, you'll be sent a

verification email to that address to assure that you own it. Please

check your email and follow the instructions in the message sent to

you. Then, return to the Membership Wizard.)

Once your email address appears in the Membership Wizard as verified,

continue with the steps in the wizard to get " web access " to all your

groups.

Now you'll be recognized when you go to the group's Yahoo! home page.

Access your group web features, such as Photos, Files, Calendar, and

more. Choose email delivery settings for all your groups, via the

Groups web site. Just visit the My Groups page.
