This x-ray deal is another example of whyit is good to keep the list ACT focused ... there are just too many issues out there and if they get on here next thing you know youhave to go thru a string of posts to figure out what is true, what is not, etc etc.

Meanwhile the purpose of the list begins to be lostThere are lots of unrestrained social media sites (Facebook; Twitter; etc.)where general issues can be discussed.I have relatives who send me posts like this all the time.

I'd say 90% of the time if you check out the internet rumorsites they are viral half truths.- S C. Foundation ProfessorDepartment of Psychology /298University of Nevada

Yes it could be. You run into a room where people are busy discussing a fairly specific subject, with guns blazing, and start shout about breasts. Breasts are important, I know, but there are so many other causes to trumpet, and if we all do that, our conversation will die. We don't want it to die. We are here for a specific purpose. The noise you are generating is sabotaging all of us. I  don't understand how it is allowed on a moderated list; on any other moderated list you'd be kicked out by now, but this list I guess relies heavily on mere mortals policing their ranks - which is what everyone here is doing; incredibly politely so I must add.

Do you have anything, I repeat, ANYTHING, to say that is on topic? That cancer causes psych problems - sure it does.. but my, so does about anything else in the world. Name one topic that would not be off-topic by your standards.

Note that you still have not answered my question: is X-ray dosage in question greater than sun radiation or not? One would think you would know by now, championing the cause and beating yourself in the chest about it as you are.

Moderators, please make this stop.

Did you mean my values? "according to you vaues? " I am doing just fine, or was until I joined a group that welcomes new members by attacking them en masse. I too have breasts and had not heard these warnings, but being newly diagnosed with thyroid problems and years of cystic breasts and Thank the Goddess, so far all are benign results...I offered this information out of goodwill, not to put a target on myself and say <"Hey here's fresh meat, everyone come and devour it."Your own member demeaning Dr. Oz as giving incorrect and false information is where the comment came from.Obviously I have chosen the wrong group. It is OBVIOUS that some of these members' version of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy has a totally different

meaning.Don't bother to reply. I will pull my membership. I can go to see my ex husband to have someone beat the crap out of me and treat me like trash. I don't need it from a group that is supposedly working on "unique behavior change approach". Seriously???????? Do not walk in behind me, I may not lead.Do not walk in front of me, I may not follow."Walk beside me. And just be my friend.Blessings be upon you )O( AmberFrom:

I do not think you are being attacked, unless you choose to perceive it that way . You are being reponded to. How you want to interpret that is up to you.

I would still like to hear how you found ACT and what brought you here, k?

Yeah, looks like spam

Not ACT relevant, but since it was posted, I feel I should post this as a followup. I thought Amber was using her own words from personal experience. Not.
